COMMUNITY PROJECTS

ST ANNE’S ANGLICAN CENTRE, RYDE

(concept design by Vanovac Associates, execution by others)
St Anne’s is one of the most significant historic sites in Ryde, dating back to 1826. This project was the result of an invited two-stage design competition.

The new building has an auditorium for 400, multi-purpose hall for community activities, 6 modular classrooms, administration offices and basement parking for 45 cars.

BENTON SANDS COMMUNITY BUILDINGS, CALLALA BEACH

(in association with Annand Alcock Urban Design)

New facility includes an indoor swimming pool, community room, shop and caretaker's residence. The facility is the centrepiece of a 12 hectare site masterplanned retirement/holiday village of 95 dwellings on an environmentally sensitive peninsula at Jervis Bay.

The new community buildings were designed as a collection of simple forms, reminiscent of traditional seaside shacks and cottages.

RODONDO SKI LODGE, MT. HOTHAM VICTORIA

10 two bedroom apartments, in a stepped configuration, all with northerly views to the ski slopes.

Exterior materials will include Mt Hotham stone and a mix of zinc and weatherboard to the upper floors.

''THE COVE'' CAFE, DRUMMOYNE
